Collectiveveins Capital advances venture capital with a focus on
startups with strategic moats
Claydi Kadiu: “The analysis of moats is the never-to-be-obvious trailblazer in the drawing of prudential entrepreneurship”

London, 30 December 2023 – Collectiveveins Capital, a young holding company founded in 2022 to manage internal entrepreneurial projects, announces its natural evolution towards venture building and entrepreneurial acceleration, also opening the doors to external projects.

Participation and differences
As a venture builder, Collectiveveins Capital, after selecting the most interesting corporate initiatives, offers each participant concrete operational support for the entire incubation period in exchange for a 15% share of the startup’s capital.

At the same time, it introduces its role as an accelerator as a modality dedicated to supporting startups that are no longer in their embryonic phase.
In this mode, a registration fee of £50,000 is applied, which is non-refundable but can be deducted from the investment, to cover the costs of the programme.
To further encourage the success of the selected startups, Collectiveveins Capital invests through external capital, in addition to its unconditional support, in each approved accelerator program participant, £500,000 in return for a 5% stake.

As an accelerator, Collectiveveins Capital has set itself the criterion of identifying one promising startup for every twenty proposals received, unlike the limit imposed as a venture builder, i.e. identifying no more than one startup for every fifty applications.
This approach aims to concentrate energy on the projects considered most successful, both in one phase and another.

Both programs have a six-month period within which to apply, followed by a five-month mentorship period for those who pass the selection process. All applications will always receive a response, even if short, within a few weeks at most.
There are no limitations on re-applying to subsequent programs in the event of failure to be selected on the first attempt.

Selection strategy
Collectiveveins Capital adopts a targeted selection strategy, seeking projects with resilient moats (strategic defenses such as not just patents, networks, internal research capabilities, etc. but rather a correct mix of these).

The choice to focus on projects with solid foundations responds to the entrepreneurial experience of the founder.
“Startups are often discussed, with the habit of defining them as scaleups, after generous private equity funds have transformed them into voracious absorbers of other apparently successful startups, without excessive concerns regarding the actual robustness of their defensive moats and the convergence between existing ones and new arrivals. My entrepreneurial adventure led me to some inaccuracies, but also to a phase of in-depth study which generated an awareness often considered obvious: moats, i.e. competitive
advantages, can change over time and their ..
